1.TRACGRABBER Trac-Grabber – Snow, Mud and Sand Tire Traction Device
I got stuck on the lake in deep snow. Put them on and drove out no problems, in fact, I drove for several miles and they were fine. My problem was they got so tight I was not able to remove them! I contacted the seller and what they wrote follows ( I tried it works flawlessly); Hello, and thank you very much for contacting us. We are sorry to hear about the difficult experience you had with removing your Trac-Grabbers. During use, the Trac-Grabbers can shift under the pressure causing the strap to become very tight. When that happens you will need to force the rubber back to its original position on the tire. This will then release the tension in the strap making it much easier to remove. If you are unable to move the rubber back try to slightly spin backward, the other option is to move your vehicle to where the tire is on top of the rubber block. This will also relieve the tension in the strap to make it easy to remove. Do they get me out of every stuck situation? – NO. But they have helped me a few times I didn’t think they would. I’m putting my truck into some sticky situations driving it all over my property, so I try to have realistic expectations and these have exceeded them thus far.
2.Trac-Grabber – Snow, Mud and Sand Tire Traction Device
My pickup truck was parked on a thick layer of ice in my yard, and it sank after a week or so of sun/thaw/pressure so that the wheels were sitting in nice little ice-cups. I tried chipping the ice out, using sand, boards, hay, etc. I didn’t have tire chains, but that was my last option. While searching for chains I found these. After reading some Amazon reviews I decided to give them a shot. At 1/2 the price of chains, they appealed to my penny-pinching instincts. Given that I only needed them to get unstuck, doubly so.
Putting these on was super easy. My truck has the custom wheels with the big star pattern with big gaps that are easy to reach through. I just threaded these around each of the rear rims/tires and strapped them tight. I fired up the truck, and within seconds I was out of my ice-cups and unstuck! These seem like they would work in most situations I’ve been in where I was stuck with tires spinning.
When I was considering buying them, I was worried about the quality of construction, from the pictures the straps looked flimsy. Well, I was wrong! The straps are very heavy nylon webbing like you’d use for a tow-strap.
3.Set of 4 WANDA ATV Tires AT 26×9-12 Front & 26×11-12 Rear
These tires are an exact knock off of the Maxxis Bighorns at nearly half the price. I had the Bighorn’s on my 650 Rincon previously and loved them. I now have the Wanda’s and they are just as great. I have done some serious 4 wheeling with them and they handled great. I highly recommend them. Bought these tires for my sons grizzly 400. He rides on county roads often so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on tires. I was surprised at the quality of these tires. They are well balanced riding down the road and plenty of traction in dirt and Mudd. Seen some reviews they were not good in snow, but we will see soon. So far they are wearing well.
